Luminary Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) with expertise in Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Real-World Data (RWD) to lead the strategic and operational initiatives of our client. As the COO, you will play a critical role in driving growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction within the RWE/RWD space.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company's strategic plans and initiatives to drive growth and profitability within the RWE/RWD domain
Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement business strategies, goals, and objectives
Manage and optimize resources including budget, staffing, and technology infrastructure to support the company's growth and operational needs
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and industry partners
Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and driving innovation
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement
Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and client engagements
Report directly to the CEO and provide regular updates on the company's operational and strategic performance
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or equivalent) preferred
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Real-World Data (RWD)
Demonstrated experience in operational management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance optimization
In-depth knowledge of RWE/RWD methodologies, data sources, and regulatory considerations
Proven track record of driving growth and achieving operational excellence
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities
Experience in a consulting or advisory role within the healthcare industry is a plus
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
