Company Description

Whole Unity Inc. is an organization dedicated to providing free resources and addressing disparities for minorities in Indiana County. We aim to meet the vital needs of black and brown people in predominantly White areas, creating a platform for diversity and implementing community initiatives that welcome people from all backgrounds. Our organization has also expanded into activism efforts to change systems that harm vulnerable populations.

Role Description

This is a remote role for a Company Lawyer. As a Company Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and guidance to Whole Unity Inc. You will handle a variety of legal matters, including contract negotiation, compliance issues, and representing the organization in legal proceedings. Additionally, you will review and draft legal documents, ensure the organization's activities are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and provide legal advice to the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of corporate law and regulations
• Experience in contract negotiation and drafting legal documents
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Experience in nonprofit or social justice organizations is a MUST
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership in Pennsylvania.
