Summary: The Engineering Document Controller and Draftsperson is fully responsible for receiving, maintaining, disseminating, and documenting all construction, equipment, facility-related documents, and drawings, while ensuring accuracy and all base plans and fire life safety plans. You will also be responsible for evaluating, verifying, and reorganizing all existing archived electronic documents for each facility across the company's facilities. This role will work closely with the project managers, project coordinators, maintenance, facility managers, and Engineering management.
Job Description:
Increase the technical teams’ performance and efficiency by maintaining a library of accurate and organized technical documents
Accelerate the design and implementation of capital projects
Increase the design accuracy and decrease the chances of project mistakes, changes, and errors
Responsible for gathering information to accurately draft new or update existing 2D AutoCAD and REVIT drawings for any buildings or manufacturing processes
Responsible for working with Contractors and Design/Builders during project development, detailed design, and construction to coordinate the understanding/implementation of REVIT and AutoCAD standards that will support our Contractors work and provide a seamless transition between drawings and construction drawings provided by the Contractor
Responsible for maintaining a strong and professional, working relationship with all teammates, contractors, facility, maintenance, and vendors
Will support consultants, team, and vendors as needed
Will also support other technical needs of the team, including items, required for planning, construction, and presentations
Requirements:
Associate degree or completion of trade, school or equivalent, formal training required
5+ years of working experience with at least three years of architecture, manufacturing, or construction-related experience
High proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, and electronic file transfer systems (Teams, SharePoint, Dropbox, etc.) and project collaboration software (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.)
Proficient REVU BlueBeam, Outlook, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Familiarity with building codes, construction details, standard architectural elements (wall partitions, door types, etc) a plus
Must work well in a fast paced, high change frequency, results, oriented environment
Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction
Independent worker who can also collaborate well with others
Ability to speak, and understand, technical industry jargon
Ability to discuss technical terms of AutoCAD and REVIT with others, who may not have the same level of experience
Ability to travel up to 15-25%
