🧢 Position: Commercial Roofing Estimator

🌍 Location: Dallas, Fort Worth (On-Site)

💰 Salary: $70,000 - $110,000

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimation.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
• Proficiency with construction estimating and takeoff software.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to make precise judgments and decisions.
• Capacity to handle multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Comprehensive understanding of the commercial construction industry, including all project stages from design to completion.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Effective problem-solving skills for unexpected situations.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and legal documentation in construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Central role in commercial construction operations, focusing on commercial roofing project estimation.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, proposals, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of roofing materials, labor costs, and proficiency in OnScreen or similar takeoff software.
• Analyze blueprints and other documents to prepare estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor.
• Review data to determine material and labor needs, creating itemized lists for projects.
• Compute cost factors for planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, and selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Conduct studies to develop cost data and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and team members to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Prepare estimates for vendor or subcontractor selection.
• Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Establish and manage the tendering process, including negotiations.

Education & Experience:

• Experience in commercial roofing estimation for multifamily shingles, single-ply, sheet metal, torch-down, and hot asphalt applications.
• Proficiency in English.
• Clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
