We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary: The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for commercial ground-up projects ranging from $5-10 million. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, with additional experience in interiors and multifamily projects considered highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial ground-up projects, including labor, materials, and time requirements.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather and verify project information.
• Conduct site visits to gather information on labor, materials, and other factors influencing costs.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
• Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and negotiate contract terms.
• Track and analyze project costs to ensure estimates align with actual expenditures.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of estimating databases and software tools.
• Stay updated with industry trends, construction techniques, and market conditions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly with commercial ground-up projects ranging from $5-10 million.
• Experience with interiors projects and multifamily developments is highly desirable.
• Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
