Our client, a fast-growing EPCM company in the Oil & Gas industry, has a permanent opportunity for a Construction Supervisor to be based in Midland, TX.

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic professional to join their team as the Construction Supervisor. This role will Directly supervise and coordinate onsite construction activities for upstream oil and gas production facilities, pipelines, gas plants, and SWD facilities. Support the construction manager and project manager(s) in controlling the quality, cost, safety, and productivity performance of the construction team.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in constructability reviews
  • Assist construction manager and project manager to ensure that project is carried out as designed
  • Read and follow plans, material lists and guidelines, and apply necessary timelines
  • Review bill of materials and construction drawings for accuracy prior to construction
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and plans including P&IDs, General Arrangements, ISOs, Piping Plans, and Civil Plans
  • Organize, supervise, and lead crews to complete projects
  • Organize construction crews and coordinate simultaneous operations (SIMOPS)
  • Conduct safety activities and issue safety permit forms
  • Complete and organize field generated documentation including JSAs, permits, and test reports
  • Perform inspections of in-progress work and identify corrective actions
  • Review bill of materials and construction drawings for accuracy prior to construction
  • Track and complete punch list items throughout the construction phase to post-commissioning
  • Identify, correct, and document unsafe behaviors and near misses
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized construction site free of hazards and trash
  • Submit daily reports and photos of construction progress and upload into company systems
  • Balance resources across multiple projects
  • Provide support and resources for crews
  • Assist Supply Chain with inventory control and tracking

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge: Oil and gas production, Construction methods, Mechanical principles, Oil and gas facility operations, Common parts, materials, and equipment, Heavy lift best practices
  • Abilities (application of knowledge and skills): Scheduling, Engineering drawing comprehension, Mathematical reasoning, Planning and Prioritization, Resource coordination, Facility Construction and Commissioning.
  • Skills (tools): Active listening, Critical thinking, Monitoring, Time Management, Collaboration, Root cause analysis
