Content Writer & Editor

Our client, a rapidly expanding woman-owned small business offering management consulting services to federal government clients is seeking a Content Writer & Editor. This person will be focusing on updating publicly available documents in response to policy and healthcare benefit changes. We are committed to delivering high-quality products and services within aggressive timelines.

This is a remote 6+ month contract with potential to convert.

Responsibilities:

• Review and enhance public healthcare documents to ensure they are current and relevant.
• Implement prescribed edits to remove obsolete information.
• Ensure all content aligns with the principles of the Plain Language Act.
• Maintain proficiency in document formatting to guarantee that all manuals and guides are clear, accurate, and up-to-date.
• Create, update, and verify the accuracy of content for the Physician Compare Website.
• Develop high-quality written materials and edit existing content for clarity and compliance.
• Collaborate with CMS components to gather necessary information.
• Maintain a content calendar and manage the overall content development process.
• Conduct quality assurance to ensure all content meets CMS standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Strong command of the English language.
• Deep understanding of Plain Language Act principles.
• Proficiency in document formatting.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
