In this position...
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will Champion CIP, Ergo, and Safety teams. Supporting all Safety, Productivity, Errors, Quality, Cycle Times, Inbound and Outbound Operations improvement initiatives. Will also perform GEMBA walks and provide feedback to operations management.
This position is 100% onsite (Monroe, MI) with no opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all continuous improvement plans and implementation at the Monroe Packaging Center including, but not limited to:
- Champion CIP, Ergo, and Safety teams
- Supporting all Safety, Productivity, Errors, Quality, Cycle Times, Inbound and Outbound Operations improvement initiatives
- Managing and directing a workforce (hourly) toward delivery of all building KPI’s
- Manage to deadlines and timelines, with high degree of planned and unplanned variables and complexities.
- Strong team player with ability to collaboratively work with all stakeholders (Safety, Quality, UAW, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, Transportation, and the DPA network)
- Work with vendors to implement effective new technologies
- Assist salaried supervisors with day to day support with SAP
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 2+ years of experience with Ford Production Standards or MODAPTS
- 2+ years of manufacturing operations experience
- 2+ years of operations support and continuous improvement experience
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- SAP experience
- Dedicated, Passionate, Self-Motivated, Creative Thinker, Decision Maker
- Proven leadership experience to develop our future leaders in all areas of the operation.
- Ability to manage and direct the operations support toward continuous improvement and best in class network performance in: Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, and Cycle Times.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management across diverse functions.
- Drive for results, analytical skills, business acumen and ability to work independently and collaboratively with all stakeholders.
- Ford OS Behaviors and Operations Competencies
- Ability to work off shifts and overtime as needed.
- Past salaried leadership experience Preferred.
- Industrial Engineering Degree Preferred
- Black Belt Six Sigma Preferred

This position is a salary grade 6-8.
