The Job:
- Supports the manufacturing leaders as the key stakeholders for this role in determining and executing key change initiatives to meet organizational goals.
- Champions change management by building trust across the sites through direct engagement, problem solving, and building relationships.
- Assesses existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and develop improvement plans.
- Implements Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Leads continuous improvement projects across one or more sites from concept through completion.
- Leads and inspire cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, set improvement targets, and drive initiatives to achieve them.
- Coaches, mentors, and guides team members at all levels to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develops and delivers Lean Six Sigma training programs and workshops to empower employees and create a CI mindset throughout the organization.
- Supports initiatives that integrate Lean Six Sigma throughout the facility, using continuous improvement tools such as; kaizen events, 5S, standard work, mistake proofing, etc. to reduce waste, optimize capital assets and improving throughput.
- Sustains gains implemented through kaizen events and Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Works with various department stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing program of change.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, business management, or a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Five years’ experience in manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other CI tools and techniques.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate and influence employees at all levels of the organization and ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
