We are seeking a copy editor to edit scientific information related to our Oncology healthcare education projects and programs. Prior experience in scientific writing, editing, and research is of interest to us.


Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility involves fact-checking and copy-editing of PowerPoint slide decks to ensure: AMA style followed, content adherence to learning objectives/goals of the presentation, Continuing Education Compliance maintained regarding use of items such as brand names
  • Communicate and manage process with faculty experts regarding suggested changes to content
  • Internal communication and process management with educational programming and grants team to ensure all necessary team members review content
  • Occasional drafting of key learning points based on provided PowerPoint content and objectives


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills (required)
  • Familiarity with clinical/medical content and terminology (preferred)
  • Experience working with AMA style (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Project management skills/experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage timelines on multiple projects
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Consistent and verifiable work history


The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, New York City, California, and Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $55,000.00 and $60,000.00. Benefits for this role include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term, and long-term disability, and life insurance.
