Creative Assistant / Editor

Melinda Maria Jewelry seeks a dynamic, self-motivated Creative Assistant / Editor to support branded content creation, social media, and marketing needs. 

As a creative team member of this brand, you will work closely with the Social Media Coordinator and Marketing team to play a pivotal role in creating elevated pieces of content for campaign launches, everyday trends, and more. The ideal candidate should have a strong proficiency in design, a strong sense of visual storytelling, and a proven track record of creative work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Craft, design, edit, present, prepare, and deliver assets for digital channels in conjunction with Marketing Team
• Keep pace with social media & design trends, then apply learnings to content creation and share them with the team
• Edit ancillary content for use on our ecommerce site
• Consistently meet or exceed deadlines
• Work in a team environment and take direction from Art/Marketing Directors amongst others

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design
• 2+ years of professional experience in video editing
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder
• Proficient with After Effects
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
• Proficient with Box, Slack, and G Suite
• Experience creating for social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.
• Experience in shooting and handling a wide range of video files, from 4K native files to iPhone footage

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced experience in Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Cloud programs
• Proficient with creating transcodes (Davinci Resolve preferred)
• Experience with editing various file formats, aspect ratios, and exporting compression types
• Experience working with Asana or other project management software
• Creative problem-solver
• Positive, proactive and able to consistently exercise great judgment
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
