We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. This position cleans and removes trash from exhibition area locations, offices, meeting rooms, shops, public areas and restrooms in a variety of buildings. This role works on weekends, holidays, and special events on a rotating schedule. This position is classified as essential and may be asked to participate in all emergencies, ice/snow removal, and special events.
Compensation:
$15.00 - $16.00/hour, dependent on skills and experience
Expected Hours:
28-30 hours/week
Primary Responsibilities:
Cleans offices, kitchens, common areas and restrooms
Maintains appropriate supply levels and inventories at all locations
Maintains all cleaning equipment. Uses proper care with all chemicals and equipment
Surveys all facilities for routine and emergency maintenance. Makes minor repairs and/or submits service orders. Installs light bulbs/fluorescent tubes when needed.
Assists in requirements for special events
Moves boxes and furniture
Responsible for performance, quality and quantity of all work assigned. Compiles a daily record and completes service orders
Assists outside contractors with professional carpet services. Cleans carpets and windows between contractor visits
May assist maintenance duty personnel in assisting workers on the estate before opening or after closing
Assists with the recycling program: is aware of materials we recycle and disposes of them properly
Works independently and with a minimum of supervision
Conducts all work in accordance with all procedures and guidelines
Practices and maintains safety precautions and procedures in all facilities
Performs other related duties as needed and carries out or directs the completion of special assignments
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of custodial experience
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Must be able to lift 30lbs, push 20lbs, bend, stretch, twist, crouch, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs
