The Job At a Glance

The Data and Analytics Manager ensures consistent, quality service to all business departments within CU1. They are responsible for the development and maintenance of BI dashboard, ETL jobs, data extracts, and data related integrations. The Data and Analytics Manager meets with internal teams at CU1 to ensure their data needs are being met.

A Typical Day

  • Build, develop, and maintain data models, automated reports, and dashboards using BI/Dashboarding tools such as PowerBI.
  • Monitor Snowflake governance (cost, security, usage, etc.)
  • Meet with stakeholders from the business to understand their data requirements, then translate those requirements to data solutions.
  • Analyze datasets to discover meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships to improve operational and productivity across CU1.
  • Refine, enhance, and automate processes and reports by managing tables/views and data pipelines.
  • Be the tech lead for any data related projects and requests.
  • Identify and solve process or technology gaps that contribute to poor data quality or long lead times to update our systems.
  • Contribute to and grow the culture of excellence on the Business Technology team by bringing processes and best practices to the group.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI analysts and developers.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the BI team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of BI solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI dashboards, ETL process, reports, and data models.
  • Work with our 3rd party partner to ensure the data needs of CU1 are being met.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all BI outputs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for BI related inquiries and support.
  • Stay current with the latest BI technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and implement new BI tools and technologies as needed.
  • Ensure the BI infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience 5+ years in BI, data analytics, ETL, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, and Snowflake a plus.
  • Excellent SQL skills and experience with data modeling and ETL processes
  • Credit Union Experience preferred
  • Keystone Experience preferred
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge pertaining to the credit union industry/retail financial services business, with the well-rounded knowledge of credit union practices preferred
