About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Development Director to be an integral part of the new business team at SCS. This role is vital to the continued expansion of our business. As the BD Director, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating and contracting new business opportunities across SCS’s fully-integrated, full-service marketing solutions. We are looking for an experienced hunter who is strategic and thoughtful in their sales approach, and extremely comfortable with cold outreach and vetting potential leads. Agency business development experience preferred with a background in selling direct to brands and/or pitch consultants.
What You’ll Do:
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close for qualified prospects
Oversee both large-scale AOR pitches, as well as project-based marketing solution sales
Lead and orchestrate SCS new business pitches. This includes developing best-in-class
RFI/RFP responses, casting and guiding cross-functional teams, building strategies to win and pinpointing any barriers to success.
Manage internal pitch teams, timelines, operations and logistics
Manage and maintain your own new business pipeline within the SCS CRM system for
proper tracking of and accountability to your individual sales goals.
Clearly articulate and demonstrate our value proposition, creating excitement and enthusiasm among prospects
Represent SCS at occasional industry events and foster new leads and relationships through
strategic networking
Who You Are:
● Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales/closing experience, ideally in agency new business development, advertising sales, PR business development, or adtech sales
● Experience with retail, ecommerce, home improvement, travel, and CPG a plus
● A rolodex of brand marketers across seniority levels and across industries
● A consistent track record of being a top performer, preferably in the Ad-Tech, Martech, or Agency space.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Creative, resourceful, detail-
oriented, and well-organized.
● A strong team player and a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
● You are comfortable with cold-calling and video-calls, and ready to use tools such as
Copper CRM system, eligible to work in the U.S. full-time with no restriction and be available during standard east coast hours.
● Strong understanding of full-service marketing capabilities across brand strategy, creative, media, reporting and attribution
