As a Director of Growth at Stella & Chewy’s, you’ll be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive growth strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention. The Director of Growth will have in depth experience as a data-driven marketer with a deep understanding of digital marketing channels, growth hacking techniques, and a proven track record of scaling businesses. The Director of Growth will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achieve company goals. They are both a big thinker and tactical executer who is entrepreneurial by nature and enjoys working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute detailed growth strategies that align with Stella & Chewy’s business goals, utilizing attribution modeling, market insights, customer data, and industry trends.
  • Accountable for achieving new customer acquisition targets and spearheading efforts to attract new customers through targeted marketing campaigns, partnerships, and various acquisition channels, while optimizing cost per acquisition (CPA) and maximizing return on investment (ROI).
  • Align customer acquisition strategies with the P&L budget by forecasting and managing metrics such as CAC, LTV:CAC ratio, ad spend, ROAS, new customer revenue, and new customer count.
  • Lead and develop a team of performance marketing specialists, fostering a culture of continuous analysis, testing, experimentation, and optimization.
  • Oversee a substantial budget in collaboration with Finance, Planning, and Analytics to track, forecast, and report on results. Guide the strategic direction of paid performance initiatives, optimizing the channel, campaign, and journey mix to meet company targets while ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Develop a hypothesis-driven testing roadmap that scales marketing budgets and channels while maintaining core performance metrics.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve customer retention and loyalty programs, aiming for optimization of lifetime value (LTV) and sustained engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with our content and solution marketing teams to brainstorm and strategize creative content and campaigns that boost brand awareness and foster growth. Implement SEO best practices across all content initiatives.


Requirements


  • 8+ years of experience in growth marketing, with direct experience managing multi-million dollar budgets
  • 5+ years of experience leading a digital marketing team in a DTC brand
  • Extensive experience across the full marketing funnel, overseeing multiple channels such as paid social (Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok), Google platforms (Search, Shopping, YouTube), television (linear, streaming), audio (radio, podcasts, Spotify), direct mail, affiliate marketing, and SEO.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot, Marketo).
  • Experience with attribution and mixed media models
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a test-and-learn mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
