As Director of HR, you report to our CEO and partner with other managers and leaders. You are responsible for enhancing employee experience in a remote-first setting, ensuring high employee engagement and satisfaction and high retention rates. You are professional, supportive, service-oriented, and you have a constant motor that motivates Surgimate’s team to keep things progressing forward. You are also highly ethical, putting the interests and reputation of your colleagues and the company first.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control attainment of departmental goals aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Set objectives, develop work plans, and create budgets for the department and team while tracking progress.
  • Design and implement company policies, HR policies, and organizational strategies that promote a healthy work environment and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Manage recruiting processes, support hiring managers, suggest improvements, and ensure timely and compliant hiring.
  • Ensure compliant, supportive, and engaging onboarding process.
  • Drive and organize employees’ development programs collaborating with managers.
  • Manage and monitor compensation and benefits plans and ensure ongoing execution and administration.
  • Gather required information and work closely with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate payroll payments.
  • Foster a culture of feedback and manage performance evaluation processes.
  • Address employees’ requests and grievances in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates and cost-per-hire) and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Maintain HR procedures that comply with labor regulations.

This position is open to applicants who are legally eligible to work in the United States, from the following States: AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, NY, NC, NJ, TN, TX

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an HR generalist in a remote-first, small-medium high-tech organization.
  • 3+ years as a Director or Senior HR Manager.
  • Experience managing HR in an international organization.
  • Experience recruiting for Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Support, Software Development, and technological positions.
  • Sound knowledge of employee benefits and compensation plans.
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Systems (including HRIS, ATS and Payroll)
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills and strong analytical skills with the ability to create clear and comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and a love for contributing to team and culture.
  • Self-motivated with a proven record of success.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience managing HR in an organization with a team in Israel
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or organizational psychology, OR
  • HR professional certification.

Salary range: USD 130K-145K per year
