Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources & Recruiting to help deliver on our vision of redefining what it means to be a patient-centered practice. This role will provide managerial leadership to ensure an unparalleled culture geared in every detail to provide patients amazing experiences paired with the best healthcare. The ideal candidate will have significant Human Resources management experience focused on California employment regulations, a background in healthcare, and a proven record in recruiting and retaining top talent. This role reports to the COO of Serenity AG.
Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of HR and Recruiting for Serenity AG
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Directly oversee the day-to-day operations of HR & Recruiting to ensure we scale our organization with top talent to meet or exceed our growth and scale-up objectives. Embrace a style of "management by example."
Drive the processes for recruitment, selection, and on-boarding of top-talent individuals
Assist with the administration of employee benefits including enrollments, terminations and annual open enrollment
Be the subject matter expert in HR related platforms and systems (PEO HRIS, ATS, benefits, etc.)
Elevate the quality and accountability of goal setting, development, and performance review discussions
Prospectively identify gaps in recruitment, on-boarding, employee engagement, HR management, policies and procedures, and recommend measures for improvement
Maintain knowledge of HR legal requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks
Provide input into the development and administration of policies and protocols that will help enhance the Serenity AG's vision of delivering a premier patient experience
Collaborate with and marshal resources from our broader cross-functional team that shares the unified vision of delivering the absolute best patient care and experience.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of patient privacy, patient Protected Health Information (PHI), and HIPAA and related regulations
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or significant work experience applicable to this role
A Minimum of 4 years of HR management (decision-maker) experience focusing on California employment situations
A Minimum of 4 years recruiting, screening, interviewing, offering top talent; executive recruiting experience a plus
Healthcare industry experience a plus
Small-business and/or startup experience a plus
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, problem solving abilities
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills; must present a polished, positive, collaborative, and professional image at all times
Excellent interpersonal relationship abilities with a diverse range of personalities, and a large, remote, cross-functional team
Effective problem-solving and mediation skills
This is a remote (work-from-home) position but you must be willing to work 8am-5pm Pacific Time, Monday-Friday role, and must be flexible to work other times (mornings, evenings, and even some weekends and holidays) if the situation requires it
Proficiency in working in our technology suite: Google Workspace, MacBooks, mobile apps, etc
Commitment to excellence, attention to detail and accountability
Strong sense of urgency in work coupled with accuracy
Able to sit, stand and walk up to 8 hours; able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
