Job Description

The Director of Regional Sales is responsible for building customer relationships and driving the outside sales function. They are

responsible for leading the business development process such as acquiring new customers through all sales channels. This position is also responsible for the territory sales managers and ensuring they are executing with excellence. This position partners with regional operations director, as well as other departmental leaders and functions to ensure the company and departmental goals are met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day-to-day sales process such as acquiring customers and assigning sales associates to accounts
  • Develops and manages territory sales managers individually and as a team on schedule based on performance
  • Manages sales reports, reporting process, sales planning process based on sales execution plans
  • Partners with senior leaders to determine gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies and analyzing results
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, supply and demand
  • Matures the sales staff by counseling, planning, monitoring, appraising, recruiting and training

Qualifications:

  • Strategic planning, organization, communication, presentation, and connectivity skills
  • Understand margin, P&L, and how to drive unparalleled success in these areas
  • Able to travel to multi-cities and states, including overnights – initially up to 50%
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC products, processes, services, customers, and decision makers
  • Outstanding consultative selling, as well as proven leadership and relationship building skills
  • BS in Business (MBA preferred), with 5 -10+ years in HVAC/R
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and professionals
