Your role at Clorox:

A pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and advancing our relationships and category credibility with strategic retailers. This position involved envision future advancements in category leadership, leading category management teams, developing innovative category solutions, and driving market share growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive category strategies that support the company's vision and financial objectives.
  • Drive category performance through advanced analytics, market insights, and strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Champion innovation within categories to enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with internal and external senior leadership to integrate category strategies with corporate initiatives.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Negotiate high-level vendor agreements and manage strategic supplier relationships.
  • Communicate very complex analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stay at the forefront of identifying industry trends and advancements in analytics and research methodologies.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, establishing our position as a category leader.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Provide thought leadership and coaching to category management teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What we look for:

  • Visionary Thinking and Strategy Development: Ability to see potential futures and develop long-term strategies to make your vision a reality in the product categories where Clorox products compete
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional skills in analyzing market data, consumer trends, competitive landscape to make informed decisions. Experience with data analytics tools and metrics to evaluate category performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of very strong leadership skills to guide a team of experienced category managers, foster a high-performance culture, and enroll cross functional partners at multiple levels. Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing consumer and customer requirements
  • Relationship Management: Invest in our key suppliers to get the most out of our relationships with them. Build strong relationships with Clorox sales leaders and retailers to earn their trust and confidence that the Category team is working in their best interest
  • Communication: Excellent persuasive communication skills used to collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with c-suite level internal and external stakeholders
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying challenges within categories and developing creative solutions to overcome them
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in customer insights, market research, or analytics, with significant leadership experience at leading US retailers

Workplace type:

This role will be Hybrid and required to be in office 3x a week per Hybrid 2.0 policy. If you are within a 50 mile radius of a Clorox Hub then you will be a part of the Hyrbid 2.0 policy. Open to internal applicants that may not be in hub areas.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $171,700 - $352,600

–Zone B: $157,400 - $324,200

–Zone C: $143,100 - $294,700

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
