The Director of Solutions Consulting at MasterControl is responsible for leading a team of Solutions Consultants, developing strategies to support sales efforts, and providing technical expertise during the sales process. Key objectives include ensuring alignment with company goals, achieving sales targets, and promoting customer satisfaction. As the Director of Solutions Consulting at MasterControl, you will play a crucial role in driving sales effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and team performance. Your leadership, technical expertise, and strategic approach to solutions consulting will contribute to the overall success of the company and help achieve its goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a mature, experience global Solutions Consulting team providing technical support to the sales effort.
  • Full responsibility for hiring, development, mission, strategy and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement new strategies that improve sales close rates, speed and deal size.
  • Provide exceptional people management and leadership to the team, monitoring team performance, and providing feedback, coaching and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to stay on top of industry and product changes and be connected on market strategies and tactics.
  • Ensure efficient and effective resource allocation within the team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and best practices.
  • Monitor team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and manage team budget and business targets.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • 10+ years of experience in solutions consulting, technical sales, or a similar role.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing teams.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software, SaaS solutions, and Life Sciences or regulated industries.
  • Experience in sales methodologies, solution selling, and consultative selling.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and performance management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to operate a computer and communicate effectively through various channels.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and events.
