The Strategy team is responsible for developing, planning, and driving KinderCare Learning Companies' short and long-term strategic vision, driving the company’s goals. This involves providing strategic leadership, demonstrating intelligence, and finding innovative solutions to sophisticated problems.

The Strategy team at KinderCare Learning Companies is responsible for crafting and implementing the company's strategic vision. The Director of Strategy and Transformation plays a vital role in driving business objectives by closely collaborating with leaders and teams to plan, carry out, and evaluate critical initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Development:

  • Craft and implement groundbreaking strategies including, but not limited to:
    • New product development and go-to-market planning.
    • Market strategies optimizing existing brands and launching new brands.
    • Consumer and brand segmentation across multiple brands
    • Digital solutions and platforms to improve our family and employee experiences
  • Leverage ongoing competitive and consumer trends to provide ongoing relevant strategic recommendations.
  • Develop strategic frameworks and structures to solve challenges or pursue new opportunities.
  • Oversee long-term planning initiatives for the organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to solve business needs, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to Leadership and Board of Directors.

Transformational & Strategic Initiatives Portfolio Management:

  • Lead a range of important projects.
  • Facilitate collaboration and alignment between various departments to ensure successful implementation of strategies.
  • Bridge the gap between concept and implementation to ensure initiatives are aligned to KLC’s objectives.
  • Oversee a systematic approach to managing strategic initiatives across the portfolio, ensuring consistency and organization.
  • Lead and facilitate quarterly planning sessions to ensure progress and continued strategic alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, offering valuable insights, coaching, and recommendations to assist in the development and implementation of their program plans.
  • Find efficiencies across initiative workstreams to optimize work while minimizing disruption for the family and field such as:
    • Pilot groups.
    • Focus groups, surveying, and feedback.
    • External research partners.
    • Internal subject matter expertise.
Measure Success:

  • Ensure company strategy and initiatives are delivering value and return on investment.
  • Be the liaison between teams and finance to develop quantitative and qualitative baseline metrics and targets.
  • Regularly communicate progress and success through clearly defined objectives and key results.
  • Reevaluate or contingency plan based on progress or business need.

People Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a strategy team that consistently demonstrates strong work behaviors and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in strategy or consulting with a track record of driving high impact work and projects from concept to execution.
  • Proficient in implementing and carrying out intricate company strategic plans, addressing barriers to implementation, handling various cross-functional challenges, and working with people at all levels within the organization.
  • Proven track record to optimally collaborate and influence at all levels.
  • Experience leading people and teams, both directly and indirectly.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, by taking initiative and proactively seeking new opportunities.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to work in an organized and efficient manner even under pressure.
  • Skilled presenter capable of effectively communicating information across various levels, from senior management to analysts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PPT, and Excel.
