The Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, located at the entrance of George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate, is seeking a Dishwasher for the high volume restaurant. This position requires flexibility with scheduling (availability for morning and/or evening shifts, weekends and holidays). Our Dishwashers are integral to our restaurant operations and handle everything from maintaining clean tableware and dishes for our dining room and kitchen to supporting a safe and sanitary workplace.
Compensation:
$15.00/hour
Expected Hours:
Up to 30 hours/week
The Dishwasher will be responsible for kitchen activities including:
Wash all kitchenware (dishes, cutlery, glasses, food storage containers, etc.)
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Put away all dishes and kitchenware to their appropriate places
Removal of trash and recycling
Floor cleaning
Light preparation
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Work efficiently and expediently
Previous restaurant or kitchen cleanliness experience preferred
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to work weekends, all holidays, mornings, and nights
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
