POSITION SUMMARY


The Senior Video Editor is responsible for the assembly of recorded footage, music, dialogue and text into a final video, while providing guidance to other team members and innovating new approaches to their work. The senior video editor reviews shot footage, provides insights into storytelling aspects. Leading and editing video deliverables that are on brief and on brand. This includes editing to storyboards, sketches, comps and style frames as well reviewing shot footage to help enhance the story for the best. The Senior Video Editor is a team player who is able to work in a proactive, self-sufficient way, handling multiple editing jobs and tasks daily that to move us all forward and further the business. Have a solid foundation for thinking and working with conventional and unconventional editorial structures.


MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE TECH SPACE


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or Diploma in film, video production, communications or related (a combination of education and experience can be substituted)
  • 5+ years of professional experience working with video editing software (Adobe Premiere)
  • Edit videos of all forms and complexities (i.e., Sizzles, interviews, announcement videos, commercial and campaign videos, short-form narratives, etc.) based on specs and proposal requests utilizing Premiere Pro.
  • 5 + years’ experience editing videos
  • Ability to create motion graphics using After Effects
  • Ability to apply some complex color correction with DaVinci ( not expert level).
  • Knowledge of Adobe CC products - Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder
  • Solid understanding of basic visual concepts and storyboarding
  • Strong eye for graphic design and typography
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Current knowledge of relevant digital video technology and standards


JOB DUTIES

  • *Cohesively tell a story using tempo, transitions, music, sound effects, graphics, and voice.
  • *Adapt stylistically to work within existing brand parameters.
  • *Adhere to strict deadlines
  • *Management of digital assets ensuring proper labelling and file structure is maintained
  • *Edit entertaining and compelling short and long form videos maintaining technical and aesthetic industry standards
  • *Ensure all videos leaving the department are technically sound, correct in scope and delivered on time
  • *Work closely with the Producers and Account Directors to execute client programs from concept, through ideation through to final delivery
  • *Meet all deadlines
  • *Liaise with other internal departments
  • *Brainstorm creative ideas and encourage innovation
  • *Provide videography services as required.
  • *Work closely with Creative Production Lead on project management, scheduling, delegating work to colleagues and overseeing and predicting the technical needs of the department.
  • *Attend management meetings as required.
  • *Provide exceptional leadership to the post-production and production teams.



Per New York state requirements, this posting reflects the salary range for this position for a New York based individual: $85k-90k per annum pro rata. Compensation varies depending on job-related factors such as experience, responsibilities, and business needs. For all other states, please inquire with the Tag Talent Acquisition Team.
