This fully remote role is key in supporting and coordinating our CDP response, executing double materiality assessments, and liaising with the MPT business segment on sustainability projects, customer inquiries, and tenders. You'll help recast our 2030 corporate responsibility goals and support the development of the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) strategy.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement sustainability projects to meet corporate responsibility goals.
Partner with business segments to promote environmental attributes of operations, products, and services.
Leverage best practices in sustainability across sites and products.
Communicate progress on sustainability initiatives with relevant stakeholders.
Represent the segment on governance, customer, and legislative requirements.
Collaborate with R&D for sustainable product and packaging design.
Educate and raise awareness on corporate responsibility goals and performance.
Integrate sustainability initiatives into EHS&S and other functions.
Support certification efforts and prepare materials for internal and external communications.
Lead and participate in sustainability initiatives aligned with company strategy.
Stay informed on best practices and competitor actions in sustainability.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
7+ years of experience in Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility.
5+ years of experience in the medical devices or pharma industry.
Management-level experience.
Strong written and spoken English skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to influence and lead at all levels.
Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally globally (up to 20%).
Desirable Skills
Experience representing Baxter externally at forums.
Knowledge of EU policy and legislation in environmental and product stewardship.
Qualified EMS auditor or experience in conducting environmental audits.
