Job Summary:
Trileaf is seeking a full-time, Project Scientist with at least 2 / 0-5 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs. This position will be remote & based in Ohio. You must reside in Ohio or plan to relocate, preferably in Cleveland or Columbus.
Essential Job Functions:
Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (3-4 days per week)
Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone
Ordering & analyzing government database records
Performing regulatory agency file reviews
Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)
Drafting of a standardized report using information from these various sources
Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients
Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines
Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards

40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
Licensed Asbestos Inspector
Management
Mold assessment experience
Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1903)
Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)
Environmental Professional (EP)
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
