Reporting to the President of a leading provider of crane, rigging and specialized transportation services. Their team of experts has extensive working knowledge within plants and worksites including commercial and civil construction sites, oil and gas, power generation, paper processing, mining and much more.

The Executive Vice President position will encompass managerial, direct oversight and responsibility for the successful implementation of all crane and rigging projects for the company from sales through execution and assist and collaborate with the company’s heavy haul side of the business. Lead all aspects of operations including serving as a senior leadership representative with sales to ensure profitability of projects. Leadership - Provide leadership to all employees (currently 200+) working for the company. Serve as a role model for the behaviors expected from employees. Ensure timely evaluation of performance of employees including the setting of expectations and measuring of performance. Safety - Oversee and manage all aspects of safety for the company including the transportation of and onsite use of trucks, cranes and rigging and the safety of all personnel. Evaluate safety practices and recommend improvements. P&L - Maximize profit margins, oversee cost spending for projects, operations and the shop, and approve expenses of personnel and company. Personnel - Oversee the hiring and management of all employees including crane operators, riggers, shop personnel, sales, and all other personnel. Ensure adherence to all processes and procedures - ISO9000 - Ensure that all documented procedures are followed by all company personnel. Define and measure management objectives. Achieve goals as defined by customers and senior management. Equipment - Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and is of the highest quality.


Background Required:

  • Executive level sales / operations management in the Crane & Rigging Industry (10 years)
  • Staff management
  • P&L management in excess of $ 40 million
  • Expense control of fleet
  • Asset utilization issue management
  • SOP & KPI development and implementation
  • Fleet Management Software: Fleet Cost & Care
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Houston, TX (relocation assistance may be provided)
