Facilities Maintenance Technicians work within a team to maintain and repair all systems and equipment at our beautiful performing arts facilities in the heart of Austin. The ideal candidate for this position will work and communicate effectively in a team environment, demonstrating a high degree of initiative and independent judgment, and working efficiently and accurately with or without direction. This full-time position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to drive to multiple campuses.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Inspects facility, grounds, equipment, and furniture to identify maintenance needs
Evaluates, performs, and completes maintenance and repair requests to ensure building and space is maintained in good repair and resources are allocated efficiently
Works with staff and vendors to evaluate and schedule third party maintenance when needed
Maintains records of work and facility project status as well as expendables used
Demonstrates working knowledge of commercial plumbing, electrical wiring, basic HVAC equipment, lighting, appliances, and grounds maintenance
Inspects, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs energy management, electrical, HVAC, power systems and commercial kitchen equipment
Monitors and navigates Building Automated HVAC Systems to verify proper temperatures
Utilizesticketand time tracking software to follow workflow and contribute to the team’s output
Supports and works within the company’s health and safety programs and guidelines at all times
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
High school diploma and at least 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent education, training, and experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to learn ticket tracking software and calendaring/scheduling software
Demonstrated ability to work independently and get along well with others in a team
Ability to work evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and overtime when needed in support of events and/or within an on-call rotation as required
A valid Texas Driver's License and the ability to work on multiple campuses
