Front End JavaScript/React Developer

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Front-End JavaScript/React Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React. This role involves creating high-quality, reusable components and ensuring seamless integration with various applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a library of reusable JavaScript/React components for various applications and systems.
• Ensure the library is well-organized for easy accessibility and use.
• Utilize JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and React tools such as React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• Create efficient and maintainable codebases using these tools and technologies.
• Translate wireframes or high-fidelity mockups into high-quality, JS-enabled UI/UX.
• Develop user-friendly interfaces that align with design specifications.
• Optimize code components for maximum performance across various web-capable devices.
• Ensure the UI/UX is fast and responsive.
• Implement modern JavaScript design systems or UI kits like Next, Material, or Chakra.
• Create consistent and visually appealing design implementations.
• Develop scalable UI/UX components using responsive design techniques.
• Ensure components maintain consistency across all browsers.
• Develop RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokens.
• Integrate secure and efficient API solutions.
• Design components to meet U.S. 508 Compliance standards, modifying existing design systems as necessary.
• Deliver 508 compliant and accessible components.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate with teams to iterate on software development concepts.
• Provide analysis on the feasibility and design of new concepts.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues using various debugging tools.
• Ensure reliable and bug-free software components through effective analysis and resolution.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Front End Developer with a focus on JavaScript and React.
• Strong portfolio of work demonstrating expertise in developing and optimizing user interfaces.
• Proficient in JavaScript, React.js, CSS, HTML, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• Experience with modern JavaScript design systems and UI kits.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON Web Tokens.
• Knowledge of U.S. 508 Compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with server-side development using Node.js.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment processes.
• Previous experience working in an Agile development environment.
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,393 to $155,462 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
