Geophysicist/Geologist

We have a need for an enthusiastic Geophysicist/Geologist to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a well-established geoscience group. The work will be mentally challenging and physically demanding with approximately 25% overnight travel, primarily within the Carolinas.

Responsibilities:

• Near-surface geophysical data collection and analysis for a wide variety of environmental and engineering projects
• Phase II hazardous waste assessments, UST closures, and remediation
• Vibration monitoring services
• Report preparation
• Assisting other service areas, as needed.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Geophysics, Geology, or related field
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Team player, efficient, client-driven
• Valid driver's license (company truck provided)

Preferred:

• Hazardous waste assessments and remediation
• Geophysical data collection and analysis
• AutoCAD/MicroStation
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
• GIT or PG license

This position will require extended periods of fieldwork in variable terrain and weather conditions with overwater work and night work sometimes required. Must be able to carry and/or lift equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and engage in repetitive overhead swinging of a sledgehammer weighing up to 20 pounds.
