Position Overview
The Senior Global Logistics Manager will be responsible for ensuring quality logistics execution in an efficient and cost-effective manner to create value for the business. This role involves steering and monitoring of E2E Inbound and Outbound shipments and warehousing operations in the way to drive optimization in distribution processes. The manager is tasked to co-create logistic strategies and network design, implementing and maintaining new procedures that are building process driven Logistics. Holds expertise in the area of responsibility to support daily operations. Develops capabilities by leveraging internal and external resources. Open minded, challenging status quo with strong analytical, change management / project management skills.
Position Responsibilities
Contact and first level support for all Logistics relevant topics from Sales Ops., Planning and other SC departments or HQ functions
Steering and monitoring of E2E Inbound and Outbound shipments
Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities
Steering of external Third-Party Logistics (LSPs, Freight Forwarders, Customs Agencies, etc.) in terms of costs, service level & service quality
3PLs Contract mgmt. Tendering and negotiation of Freight & Logistics agreements together with Procurement
Develop global carrier strategy and monitoring of transport market regarding price and capacity development
Support the further development of CHC Logistics network and act as an internal consultant for CHC affiliates in close cooperation with Logistics Dir.
Develop route to market and region-specific strategies to reduce costs and/or increase speed
Regular adaptation of logistic requirements and ensuring compliance with regulations, customs, safety, suppliers’/customers’ requirements
Manages relations with Transport Control Center at BSS Poland and builds their capabilities acc.to SLA and agreed strategy
Ensures the smooth-running Logistics processes in line with company objectives
Implements strategies to increase flow visibility and freight / Logistics cost control
KPIs monitoring and reporting development
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years experience in complex international logistics management
Import – export & transport knowledge. Understand cross-border requirements, incl. customs and duties
Previous experience in SAP a must
Strong analytical, process-oriented and project management skills
Strong customer focus & joined up thinking
Structured working and detail oriented with high written and verbal communication skills
Good team player that shows initiative and an exact and efficient work manner
Able to prioritize, work under pressure, reliable and communicative
