Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Job Summary:


The Head of Business Development will be responsible for leading and directing the sales team to identify, develop, and implement growth opportunities.


This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing sales processes, driving business growth, and forming strategic partnerships.


Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company goals.


Identify new market opportunities and trends to drive growth.


Collaborate with the executive team to align business development initiatives with overall company strategy.


Market Research and Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify potential markets, customer needs, and competitive landscape.


Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to inform business strategies.


Partnership and Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances to drive business growth.


Negotiate and manage key business relationships and contracts.


Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.


Team Leadership and Development:


Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team.

Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback and coaching.


Foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving business objectives.


Sales and Revenue Growth:

Drive the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities and clients.


Collaborate with the sales team to optimize the sales pipeline and close deals.


Reporting and Analysis:

Monitor and report on business development performance metrics.

Prepare regular reports for the executive team on business development activities and results.


Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.


Great to Have:

5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field is desired, with at least 1 year in a team lead or department leadership role.


Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving sales targets.


Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Experience in eCommerce and/or Amazon selling is a plus.
