Our client, an Indie beauty brand is looking for a Head of Sales. The person will be a pivotal player in their mission to grow brand distribution through thoughtful expansion of the company’s existing nascent wholesale presence. As Head of Sales, you will lead the company's efforts to create a wholesale plan, manage outreach and new customer onboarding, and ensure success at retail in all accounts. You will work hand-in-hand with the co-founders on brand storytelling and brand aligned wholesale partners, and you will be expected to create, execute and optimize on wholesale sales initiatives that align with our goals and targets across the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build the brands wholesale business & strategy in the United States and select locations overseas
Manage all wholesale accounts including but not limited to, national online retailers, national and regional brick and mortar stores, and pop-up shops
Be responsible for ongoing project planning, critical paths, budget and purchase order management, supplier management & post analysis
Negotiating contract terms and marketing deliverables
Implement the marketing strategy and manage budget for the wholesale channel
Be accountable for contributing to the overall marketing calendar
Develop and manage wholesale calendar with all key events, campaigns, offers and partnership activities across channels
Execute marketing materials
Work closely with internal and external press, social, and CRM teams to plan, deliver and evaluate the communications campaign to support all wholesale launches and activities
Design original marketing programs to include deliverables such as education + training, special events and promotions and social media
Oversee the creation of any visual merchandising needed for accounts including signage, seasonal decor and POS
Manage content on partner websites featuring products, ensuring PDPs are correct, up-to-date, and a reflection of the brand standards
Provide weekly sales updates across all accounts in order to track growth and exceed monthly, quarterly and yearly sales projections
Act as main point of contact for all accounts to maintain timely updates about the brand, upcoming product launches and relevant press coverage
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree
5-7 years experience managing both national and regional wholesale accounts in beauty or related industries
Possesses independent relationships with relevant wholesale accounts
Experience with a variety of accounts including, prestige beauty, online retailers and pop-up shops
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Understanding of brand marketing to enhance presence in store environments and through digital assets for online retailers
A motivational leadership style and ability to lead change in a dynamic environment
Understanding of key sales drivers and seasonal trends
Strong project management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Design skills for basic asset development
Strong design sensibility to direct marketing programs with creative teams
