As our HR Director, you will be responsible for assisting in executing the HR strategy for field operations teams of R1 RCM (R1). Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, every day you will work with senior members of the business to implement strategies that attract, develop, and engage some of the healthcare industry’s most talented people.

This position will also be a champion for partnering with the business to bring to life R1’s talent and inclusion agenda. The HR Director will be an integral member of the business leadership team and will develop business-focused HR strategy that attracts, develops, motivates, and retains R1's most important asset -- its people.

To thrive in this role you must have demonstrated exemplary business partnership and execution in your current and previous roles and you must also have experience assessing procedures, formulating policies, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.

Here’s what you will experience working as the HR Director:

  • Provide focused, business-minded HR leadership, emphasizing HR's measurable contribution to business success and metrics (revenue growth, profitability, market share, customer service, etc.).
  • Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.
  • Work as a change agent to lead and design organizations changes that will be required by the business to meet customer and strategic needs
  • Serve as a champion for R1’s talent and inclusion agenda and work in partnership with the business to make progress against goals and aspirations
  • Work with business leaders and HR Leadership Team colleagues in the development and deployment of firm-wide and business initiatives
  • Partner with leaders and HR COEs in the development of approaches to maximize employee performance through effective coaching & feedback process, employee development programs and training.
  • Lead and participate in various HR cross-functional initiatives
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning

Required Skills

  • Roles at this level typically require a Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered
  • 7+ years of progressive HR management experience in a fast-paced, high-growth services business with hands-on knowledge of the unique demands of a distributed workforce with a customer-centric business is required 1-3 years at the management level in an organization
  • Proven relationship & consultancy skills with a range of business leaders. Excellent communication, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, advising, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Project management (e.g. work planning, resource sharing) including facilitating and coordinating groups
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and understanding of operational environments
  • Working knowledge of all HR disciplines (e.g. staffing and recruiting; employee relations, compensation management, organization development, etc.) and employment law
  • Change management, with experience in acquisitions or integrations
  • Proven organizational design experience
  • Experience working in shared services model across multiple levels of the organization from hourly staff through senior leadership
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $129,226.88 - $169,533.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
