Instructional Designer -- Remote | WFH

We are currently seeking an Instructional Designer II to join our team. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine, we serve military, medical, academic, and government clients by administering, managing, and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike.

Position Overview

The Instructional Designer II will play a pivotal role in crafting engaging and effective learning experiences. Collaborating closely with subject matter experts, educators, and business leaders, you'll be responsible for developing and enhancing educational content and materials across various platforms, including in-person, live, virtual synchronous instructor-led training, and e-learning content.

Responsibilities

Consult with internal stakeholders to identify learning needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.

Develop dynamic and engaging learning experiences for adult learners, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and organizational branding guidelines.

Utilize instructional design software and learning management tools to create and maintain innovative learning content, including scenario and simulation-based content.

Lead and collaborate with the training team members on the development and execution of training solutions.

Monitor the effectiveness of learning solutions through ongoing assessments and make adjustments as necessary.

Manage and update content library and training plans based on feedback and evaluation results.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and effective instructional design strategies.

Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality, engaging learning content.

Proficiency in managing complex projects and meeting deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office tools, Learning Management Systems, and rapid development/production tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field of study.

Minimum of 3+ years of instructional design experience.

Must have an Instructional Design portfolio.

Physical Capabilities

Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

This position will primarily take place in an office setting.

Compensation

The likely annual salary range for this position is $64,200 - $85,000 USD, based on market analysis, experience, and education.
