IT Manager

As the IT Manager, you will lead a team supporting and enhancing IT solutions for GP’s Containerboard business. A key part of your role will be proactively building strong relationships with key business stakeholders to drive outstanding business outcomes. You will also be responsible for managing resources that handle application support and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and a passion for improving IT capabilities.

What You Will Do

  • Understand the business roadmap and vision, aligning the team with business priorities and goals.
  • Focus on customer experience, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the IT team.
  • Apply and cultivate our Principle-Based Management culture to effectively develop and coach employees
  • Managed and develop the IT team to provide P1 support for Containerboard’s IT systems.
  • Use excellent interpersonal, team building, communication, and influencing skills to drive positive outcomes and superior business value.
  • Ensure the team efficiently addresses issues and meets service level commitments by monitoring and managing performance.
  • Continually evaluate and improve support processes and procedures to maximize team efficiencies and ensure a positive consumer experience.
  • Drive process improvement and experimentation initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identify and resolve issues.
  • Think strategically and innovate in response to evolving business needs.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in a leadership role managing an IT team and relevant IT experience
  • Experience developing talent, both individually and organizationally, and leading remote teams
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a proven track record in enhancing customer experience through innovative IT solutions
