Execute and close ongoing IT projects, initiate/execute new IT projects, and execute ad hoc IT procurement projects, as assigned;
Work with Member's strategic sourcing leadership to manage Member's internal processes. If any barriers to completing projects are found the IT Sourcing Specialist will communicate directly to strategic sourcing leadership;
Manage assignments against mutually agreed upon goals, milestones, and schedules;
Ensure work products conform to Members terms and conditions of purchase, policies and procedures, and guidelines;
Assist department with document specific requirements and write custom scope of services;
Draft and manage sourcing events; analyze and facilitate decision-making; assist in negotiating and managing contracts;
Conduct market reviews and make/facilitate benchmark-based decisions;
Negotiate with Member vendors to ensure that services purchased are priced competitively;
Facilitate execution of agreements and support purchase requisitions and order placement;
Work with senior buyers to coordinate changes in purchase orders with Member vendors;
Work with Member vendors and departments regarding purchase orders to communicate product delivery and pricing information;
Work with IT vendors and departments concerning IT contracting and purchasing issues and ensure contract compliance as it pertains to terms and conditions, pricing, and service levels;
Utilize available tools to gain market knowledge and to access best pricing of assigned categories, including but not limited to Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI) and other benchmarking and analysis services; and
Document and communicate the savings success and engage end users in needed process change or product conversion.
