Lead Buyer

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage strategic sourcing and procurement activities, including optimal pricing and supplier negotiations.
• Ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage distributor and supplier relationships.
• Direct and process purchase orders by verifying specifications and price.
• Obtain recommendations for substitute items when necessary and acquiring approvals.
• Shift spend to preferred suppliers when applicable.
• Complete vendor/supplier contracts and agreements.
• Daily interaction with our suppliers, sales team and accounting.
• Collect vendor bills and audit costs against POs
• Invoice orders as they are shipped
• Track and manage the status of all orders and RMAs.
• Manage procurement activities including RFPs and deal registrations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a procurement and purchasing role.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience related to technology hardware and software products.
• Working knowledge of Channel Online (COL/CNET) or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel a must.
• Working knowledge of Quickbooks a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at once.
• Accurate and keen attention to detail and organization skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Price/cost negotiation skills..
• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
• Competitive spirit and takes accountability.
