Pay Range: $17.00 - $17.50

Job Summary

The Loss Prevention Assistant will assist the Loss Prevention Manager with administration of proactive loss and asset protection activities within the agency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of access cards, Hikvision cameras, or locks.
  • Conduct store audits to identify problem areas or procedural deficiencies.
  • Monitor workplace to assess safety and security issues or concerns.
  • Assist with investigations of known or suspected internal or external theft.
  • Assist with investigations of disturbances such unlawful intrusion, fires, and property damage.
  • Assist with accident investigations and provide management & Human Resources video recording of incidents.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work occasional evening or weekend as needed.
  • Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position
  • Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants. Participates in new hire onboarding as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
  • One year loss prevention experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable


Knowledge, Skills, And Abiliies

  • Must maintain confidentiality and use discretion in dealing with sensitive or controversial issues and information.
  • Must be able to build strong relationships to protect company assets.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of risk/loss prevention management and administration.
  • Ability to maintain accurate information and efficient record keeping systems.
  • Ability to travel within the Goodwill service area.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Light

Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Walking or standing to a significant degree involves sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling.
