Overview

The Manager, IT Sourcing will act as an agent for the Procurement organization to source, contract and manage partnerships across the organization, with a heavy focus on supporting our Information Technology (IT) stakeholders. Working closely with mid and senior level executive management teams, this position will develop strategic sourcing and partnership plans with various business stakeholders to lead the acquisition of technologies, products, and services from external partners.

The Manager, IT Sourcing will be expected to apply thought leadership and be responsible for identifying, leading and/or participating in strategic initiatives, process improvements, and monitoring of KPIs. They will play a crucial role in delivering cost savings, improving compliance, driving efficiencies, and achieving other corporate goals and initiatives. They will maintain a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values, and uphold AmTrust’s organizational standards.

Responsibilities

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Identify, lead, scope and manage strategic contracting and RF(x) processes for timely execution of initiatives with significant scope, impact, and complexity in close coordination with IT stakeholders and other corporate partners.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to build and execute a partnership strategy for select programs and areas of spend categorization across the organization.
  • Build strong partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams of internal stakeholders including line of business, information technology, finance, risk, and legal.
  • Deliver professional and executive-level presentations to external and internal partners.
  • Facilitate vendor relationship management as necessary.
  • In close coordination with relevant stakeholders, analyze vendor contractual and pricing submissions, ensure proper review and approval of contracts, lead analysis, negotiate improved pricing, terms and conditions, and develop and communicate recommendations to management.
  • Identify opportunities for improved financial terms. Lead financial negotiations and raise all financial matters to executive management for decision. Areas include but are not limited to new contract development, renewals, and billing and payment matters.
  • Rely on a wide experience base and utilize strategic thinking, management techniques and analytical know-how to define business requirements and drive the organization toward “best in class” systems, tools, procedures, and processes.
  • Identify initiatives that result in cost savings, cost avoidance, and/or revenue growth.
  • Seek collaborative solution-building and apply a continuous improvement mindset to identify root causes of business and/or workflow problems and processes to determine innovative solutions and opportunities and make recommendations to management.
  • Lead and manage multiple projects of high complexity simultaneously.
  • Comply with corporate guidelines and regulations.
  • Facilitate legal review and third-party risk management (TPRM) processes to develop and implement enforceable contracts, mitigate informational and other risk.
  • Keeps current with market trends and demands.
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

We’d Like You to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, finance, or business administration.
  • 12+ years proven experience in indirect procurement, with majority of experience in strategic sourcing.
  • 8+ years proven experience in technology procurement, with majority at sourcing manager or similar level.
  • Experience crafting category strategies with technology vendors and beyond, that drive annual cost reduction, revenue generation, and increased service levels.
  • Experience negotiating enterprise agreements with software vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow.
  • Experience negotiating enterprise agreements with hardware vendors such as VMware, Palo Alto, Proofpoint, Rubrik.
  • Experience negotiating enterprise agreements business process outsourcing (BPO)/consulting vendors such as Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Capgemini.
  • Experience working with various value-added resellers (VARs).
  • Experience supporting data center build outs and/or migrations.
  • Extensive experience negotiating and managing (X)aaS contracts.
  • Experience working in various procurement/procurement adjacent systems such as: ERP, P2P, TPRM, Intake and Orchestration, eSourcing, CLM, etc.
  • Experience performing make versus buy analyses and developing total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
  • Advanced ability in negotiation and influence of parties both internal and external.
  • Unwavering integrity, good judgment, and strong interpersonal skills to build successful relationships with all levels of stakeholders.

Additional Value

  • Prior experience in Insurance, Financial Services and/or Technology industries.

  • Advanced degree(s), additional relevant training, designation(s) and/or certificate(s).
