This position will be located in Orlando, FL, reporting directly to the Brightline Material Manager. This person will handle all transfers of material, kits, and supplies. Will be expected to perform any assigned stockroom task as determined by daily requirements for the day to day material operation. The right person will be highly organized, have a great attention to detail, and excellent communication and follow-up skills. This person will assist the engineering and planning group in material-related issues, focus on EHS and oversee logistics and warehouse activities at the depot.
Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety and environmental requirements for the storage and shipping of material, including regulated HazMat
Use computer applications and computers to maintain accurate material flow transactions.
Verifies and maintains stock documents.
Performs cycle counting of all material in the stockroom.
Unloads, receives, verifies and counts material delivered to warehouse.
Packs and ships material back to vendors for repair or replacement.
Utilizes small hand tools and may operate material handling equipment including forklifts and hand jacks.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience
Required education: High School Diploma, or GED required
Required experience: The preferred candidate will have experience in the railway industry or corresponding experience in a related field.
