The Technical Engineer for the Armor product line at the Ceramics Plant provides engineering and consulting support to maintain and develop products or processes. This role involves managing technical information flow, supporting both commercial and manufacturing teams, and serving as a key technical liaison to ensure customer requirements are met and sales opportunities are maximised.
Roles And Responsibilities -
Provide engineering and consulting support to maintain and develop products or processes.
Manage technical information flow for the Armor product line.
Support commercial and manufacturing teams by maintaining active contact with customers regarding product requirements and translating these into product definitions.
Recommend changes to product specifications for effective use of materials and resources.
Offer technical service support to the sales organisation to address customer needs and solve product or process problems, aiming to maintain and increase sales.
Collaborate with senior technical and production managers, offering and receiving advice.
Act as a technical expert for associates within operations and the commercial team.
Lead the technical team for the specified product line.
Stay updated on innovations, customer processing systems, and future expansion plans in various industries to assist the commercial team in responding to sales opportunities.
Manage key Armor programs, serving as the primary technical interface between the commercial team and internal operations (Manufacturing, R&D, Customer Service).
Act as the main liaison between Engineering, Customer Service, R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams for Armor products.
Conduct frequent visits to customers and host visits to support the Armor commercial team.
Exhibit a strong interest in customer relations and sales.
Must-Have Qualifications -
Bachelor’s Degree in Ceramic or Materials Engineering.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
