Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining wireless network equipment
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience of BGP Protocols, routing, and switching
  • 2+ years' experience supporting and troubleshooting Wi-Fi and RF issues in the corporate environment, wireless clients and Wireless Access Points
  • Network management and security practices for implementing high-density WIFI solutions (802.11 b/g/n/ac standards preferred)
  • Configuring and deploying CISCO network infrastructure
  • Understanding the CISCO command line (troubleshooting, configuring, and control)

  • CCNA/CCNP
  • Infoblox Experience
  • College degree in Data Communications also helpful


Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer for one of our logistics clients. As a Network Engineer, you will be working on a Switch Migration support project and support activities and help with cleanup and tasks. The individual must have experience operating and supporting a CISCO network environment. They will be responsible for the installation and migration or support network infrastructure at warehouse, terminals, and branch offices. They will be communicating with Network Ops team, local site resources, functional teams, and project managers to plan activities and coordinate with vendors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provisioning of data circuits
  • Gathering assessment data- collection from data center (IT assets and mapping dependencies)
  • Breaking down of Migration groups
  • Understanding backout plans and finalizing SLAs
  • Identifying network requirements, configuration, network monitoring
  • Coordination of the installation, test and turn up, and turn over to production
  • Troubleshooting WAN/LAN, Wi-Fi, Internet and MPLS network issues
  • Steady state support of branch locations


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ordering and installing carrier circuits
  • Attending team and project meetings
  • Communicating with local site resources, functional teams, and project managers
  • Planning activities and coordinating vendors
  • Involved in resolving network incidents
  • Updating and maintaining monitoring tools (Creating and storing project/operational documentation)
