Looking for someone strong with Fortinet/Fortigate Firewalls and Access Points, Cisco, and logic monitoring/network monitoring.

Technical Skills / Experience

As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure. Your expertise should encompass the following areas:

• Fortigate Technologies: Must have expert knowledge in device configuration, security policies, and application deployment using Fortigate Firewalls, FortiWifi, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer, in both physical and virtual environments.

• Cisco Technologies: Must have configuration and management experience of Cisco switches through deployment, patching and configuration management.

• Azure: Strong understanding of Azure landing zones, subscriptions, and resource groups. Familiarity with network security groups and HA failover in a cloud environment, multi-regional failover, and Azure design concepts for a highly elastic and efficient cloud environment. Must possess a strong understanding of network security in the cloud. Recognizes dependencies and makes recommendations to remediate vulnerabilities.

• ServiceNow or relevant CMDB: Must have experience with change management and incident handling practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an understanding of incident priorities and resolution.

• Vulnerability Remediation: Expert knowledge in vulnerability remediation across network configurations and devices in both physical and virtual environments.

• Network Monitoring: Must have experience in network monitoring. The ideal candidate will be able to proactively identify network issues and act on the remediation process while following the process for business communication and technology implementation.

• Troubleshooting: Must have proven experience in troubleshooting complex network issues across the OSI stack, in both physical and virtual environments

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3-5 years minimum of experience network implementations, diagramming, code updating and firmware patching, project planning, and management of third party vendors.

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or related field.

• Experience with network monitoring tools.

• Network protocols: BGP, Static Routing, SD-WAN, SASE, OSPF, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN (IPSec/SSL)

• Configuration and maintenance of Fortigate Firewalls and Access Points, Cisco Switches

• Exposure to additional firewall and switch vendors/technology preferred

• Cisco certifications (CCNA or higher)
