Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Designer to join our dynamic design team.
The Packaging Designer will be responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing packaging solutions for our products.
Reporting to the Head of Packaging Design, this role will require you to have a strong understanding of design principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating packaging that enhances the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Head of Packaging Design to conceptualize and execute packaging concepts from ideation to final production. Creating original packaging designs & die-lines for various products
Maintaining library of header cards, hang tags & packaging for various licensed & private label brands
Work closely with the product development team, marketing department, and suppliers to ensure packaging designs meet all technical and regulatory requirements.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss packaging design progress and address any issues or changes.
Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to source materials and ensure the quality of packaging.
Conduct quality checks on packaging samples to ensure they meet design specifications and company standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any design-related issues that arise during the production process.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies related to packaging design.
Propose new and innovative packaging solutions to enhance product presentation and sustainability
Experience and Skills:
Must submit portfolio with packaging design experience to be considered!
Bachelors in Design or related field showing your commitment to the industry
2-3 years experience as a packaging designer, preferably in the fashion or consumer goods industry.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and manufacturing techniques.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with packaging suppliers and vendors is a plus.
