Post Producer

Modern Post is a bi-coastal Post Production studio with offices in New York and Los Angeles. We are looking for a Post Producer in our NY office, (minimum of three days a week on-site or as needed). Ideal Candidates will have 3 + experience in post production facility and be familiar with finishing and delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Track job costs and workflow on ongoing projects.
• Manage Post -Production process at all stages of offline, color and finishing.
• Create bids as requested and additional/overage estimates on current projects and secure bids from out of house vendors as needed.
• Actualize jobs when finished and confirm all materials are archived and organized.
• Ensure invoices for jobs and overages are billed in a timely manner and when incurred.
• Liase with client, editor and staff to ensure efficient workflow and that all job and client needs are being met.
• Be daily contact for clients and ensure project needs and schedule are being met and maintained.
• Work closely with VFX and color teams to secure resources needed for finishing.
• Partner effectively with production department to ensure resources are being shared and scheduled effectively.
• Stay current on technology and its changing needs and demands.
• Help nurture lasting relationships with clients and vendors.
• Help keep up morale and be a team leader and problem solver.

Skills and Experience

• 3 + years equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of Post-Production workflow
• Experience with budget oversight and actualizing
• Ability to work with agility under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem solving abilities
• Comprehensive knowledge of edit, color and flame workflows.
