Role: Contract position of Project Manager
Location: Remote (Bethesda, MD)
The Project Manager with good experience in managing large-scale application development (preferably Microsoft Technologies), Cloud Migration, and Application Modernization projects. Should have experience/good knowledge in CI/CD, DevOps, and Containerization technologies. Experience in managing application development projects from inception to completion and ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a Task Order Management Plan including technical approach, organizational resources, and management controls.
Provide a monthly status report on quality assurance, configuration management, and security management.
Manage and oversee all technical and functional activities at the contract level.
Implement productivity and management methods such as configuration management, security management, and resource management.
Monitor and manage scheduled application and database jobs.
Implement changes to production databases following approved procedures.
Maintain application objects and an accurate data dictionary for application databases.
Prepare and deliver detailed project schedules, including all phases, milestones, and dates of required deliverables.
Participate and support specialized server-based application management.
Develop test scenarios and test cases to corroborate project requirements and quantify performance testing.
Plan and execute System Integration Testing, including creating a Test Plan and coordinating resources.
Plan and support User Acceptance Testing, ensuring that the project satisfies System Owner needs and meets security requirements.
Capture and manage testing results using the TFS tool suite, reviewing and resolving any defects.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Federal customer experience supporting HHS, preferably NIH.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Proven experience in project management within a technical environment.
Expertise in software and database development, testing, and maintenance.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional teams.
