About the Role:

  • Responsible for procuring inventory, materials, office supplies, and capital goods. Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized.
  • Keep records of all acquisitions to ensure that purchases remain within budget and on schedule.
  • Develops specifications for new contract orders. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards.
  • Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.


Job Title: Project Manager (Procurement)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops purchasing programs for the corporation.
  • Develops purchasing arrangements with vendors and suppliers.
  • Provides pricing quotes, completes purchase orders, and processes requisitions for clients.
  • Develop and investigate supply sources, and issue request for quotations, proposals, or bids for those items not covered by any existing purchasing arrangement.
  • Resolves outstanding issues, complies with vendor requests, and responds to client inquiries.
  • Receive requisitions and check each item for quantity, specifications, and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiates with vendors to ensure inventory is acquired in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Serve as liaison to vendors and suppliers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of supply chain or procurement functions and procedures
  • Knowledge of vendor relations
  • Knowledge of project management methods and techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Excellent problem-solving, team, and time management skills managing multiple deadlines for self and others
  • Proficiency in evaluating the performance capabilities of subordinates as well as counseling subordinates in development and/or corrective discipline
  • Proficiency in making projections of future expenses based on analysis of cost-effectiveness of past expenditures
  • Proficiency to operate independently


Location: Remote (Ohio)


Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $75,000 – $85,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.


Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, and 5 personal days accrued each calendar year. The Paid time off benefits meets the paid sick and safe time laws that pertain to the City/ State, 10-15 days of paid vacation time, 6 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday per calendar year, Ascendion Learning Management System.
