Project Management - Procurement / Contracts Management through Acquisition

Our client, a large global technology company, has grown and continues to expand through the acquisition of other successful technology companies. Integration of any new acquisition into our client’s business is a complex challenge. This team works to drive and accelerate end-to-end Merger & Acquisition processes in a measurable way, maintain a premier team of adaptable integration professionals, innovate integration and partnership practices, and advise business leaders and drive business model transformation.


Our Approach

M Squared Consulting will provide hands-on project management and integration leadership as the organization integrates activities from a newly acquired company into its established worldwide management system. The M Squared consultants will provide the day-to-day leadership that ensures all functions are properly transitioned to our client’s systems, processes and tools.


Deliverables

M Squared Consulting Responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Serve as the go-to resource for project management of an integration workstream track
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure the transition of all services functions, processes and elements into our client’s established systems is progressing according to established integration timelines
  • Develop and execute against project plans and ensure the project plan reflects the reality of work in progress
  • Ensure that the Project Management practices conform with the overall project governance structure
  • Track project deliverables
  • Proactively identify, manage and report risks, issues and actions, driving to timely completion
  • Stakeholder Communications and Project Communications Management


Consultant Expertise

Industry

  • Functional Expertise in one or more areas (procurement / supply chain/ corporate development/ PMO) is a must
  • Acquisition Integration experience is a major plus
  • Client experience a major plus


Required Functional Background

  • Demonstrated career experience with Program / Project Management.
  • Contracts Management - for spend purposes - analysis and looking through data
  • 2+ Years of Ariba experience, Salesforce.com experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing moderate to complex projects with moderate number of tracks over medium to longer term timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and own “a track” or work steam as part of a larger engagement.
  • PMI certified, with some exceptions.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand overall business objectives of the program and to keep all parties aligned and on-track for deadlines/priorities
  • Exceptional Stakeholder Communications and Management and ability to lead by Influence
  • Proven ability to lead and manage change/integration in a fast-paced environment
  • Very familiar with MS Project, Smartsheet or similar project management applications
  • PowerPoint and Excel skills required

The persona that will fit best within this organization will embody willingness and aptitude for working with remote managers, along with a strong bias for communication. These consultants must have exceptional verbal and written communications skills (including on the phone, in face-to-face interaction) along with the ability to quickly establish trust and lead others to adopt new approaches/processes. A flexible style, ability to get things done, an organized and detail oriented approach will serve well in this engagement. The culture requires that the consultants be quick studies with high energy and stamina.


This project is remote and will be one year in length with possible extension.


Rate $520-$624 per day, Exempt W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
