Property Claims Manager - Homeowners

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Property Claims Manager with expertise in homeowners’ property claims to join our dynamic Property Claims division. The Property Claims Manager will lead and manage a team and ensure accurate, responsive, and efficient claims resolution.

This role is remote. Our customers are located in the Northeast; candidates must be able to work during regular EST business hours.

What you will do:

• Responsible for all aspects of claim handling for scope of responsibility including coverage, damage assessment, reserving, and timely resolution.
• Coach, train, and develop staff on all aspects of technical claim handling and career development.
• Champion and strengthen Kingstone’s Core Values in words and actions.
• Demonstrate a passion for delivering outstanding service to Kingstone customers through claims excellence, continuous improvement, and service recovery.
• Drive continuous process and technology for work unit as well as all of Property.
• Provide effective claim management including file reviews, coverage analysis and decision making, reserve and payment approvals, and coaching/directing action as needed to achieve target claim outcomes.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability within Property Claims and across Kingstone Insurance.
• Responsible for all aspects of people management including performance evaluation, performance management, and compensation recommendations.
• Participate in and may lead talent selection for area of responsibility.
• Adhere to and promotes company policies on reserving, compliance, cybersecurity, and other business critical procedures.
• Leverage data to understand trends, problem solving, and to build effective plans for continuous improvement and step function increases in Property performance.
• Effectively lead change within area of responsibility and across Property Claims.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required).
• Continued insurance education and/or other insurance designations (preferred).
• 5+ years of claims experience with an insurance carrier with a focus on property claims.
• 3+ years of leadership experience (required).
• Experience in the Northeast region (preferred).
• Xactimate experience (preferred).
• Ability to obtain licenses in states where Kingstone does business as required
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage a Property Claims Operation.
• Emotionally Intelligent leader who motivates, inspires, and coaches their team to deliver outstanding results.
• Technically strong claims professional in the art and science of claims handling.
• A problem solver who can define, analyze, and implement root cause solutions.
• Skills in enhancing and optimizing processes for greater efficiency.
• Possess a strong proficiency in technology delivery and can effectively partner with IT teams for seamless collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
