Quality Engineer / Product Design Engineer

Mango Product Development is seeking a talented and multidisciplinary engineer to join our team in a combined Quality Engineer and Product Design Engineer role. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving product quality and design efforts for our clients' innovative products. We're looking for someone who truly loves to learn and gets excited about deeply understanding how things work in order to make them better.

Responsibilities:

• Lead quality engineering efforts, including determining appropriate test plans, designing test fixtures and equipment (mechanical and electrical), executing tests, and analyzing data.
• Support product design engineering tasks, contributing to the development of new products from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of quality processes and product design.
• Fabricate prototypes, test fixtures, and other hardware required for testing and validation.
• Strive to deeply understand the systems and products you work on, leveraging a flexible skill set to tackle diverse challenges.
• Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and design efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development, preferably in a startup or small-team environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
• Hands-on experience with circuits, microcontrollers, sensors, and data analysis. Ability to develop code to support these systems in production is a plus.
• Hands-on experience taking products from concept to production.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• A passionate learner who loves truly understanding how things work.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.

This is initially a 1099 contractor role, with the opportunity to convert to a full-time W-2 position after a 6-month period. We offer competitive compensation, including profit-sharing for W-2 employees.
